On his ESPN show, Pat McAfee said Max “Vanderstoppen dominance has just become so boring to watch”, and added “the races are like time trials”.
Max Verstappen and Red Bull have been completely dominating Formula 1 since 2022.
Although F1 hoped their new technical regulations would make racing closer, this obviously did not happen, at least when it comes to the title picture.
While Mercedes’ team boss Toto Wolff said on numerous occasions that he does not want F1 and the FIA to intervene, many pundits are calling out the fact that races have become ‘boring’.
One of the people who now openly called Verstappen’s domination “boring” is former NFL player, and current sports analyst (and WWE commentator), Pat McAfee.
On the ‘Pat McAfee Show’ on ESPN, while talking to multi-time NASCAR champion Kyle Busch, McAfee started talking about F1 and comically mispronounced Verstappen’s name.

“19 of the last 20 races is Vanderstoppen,” he said.
After hearing Pat’s mispronunciation, Busch joked Vanderstoppen “sounds like a watch”.
“He probably has one,” McAfee continued.
“So the Vanderstoppen watch and the Vanderstoppen dominance has just become so boring to watch.
“He’ll win the pole and then the races are like time trials,” he concluded.
