Mercedes has helped build the car that will be driven by Brad Pitt in his new F1 movie “Apex”. Pitt is expected to drive the car at Silverstone. Here are the first images!
Brad Pitt will star in a Formula 1 movie titled “Apex”, produced by Apple. Lewis Hamilton is also involved in the production as co-producer and advisor, along with his film production company Dawn Apollo Films.
Toto Wolff recently confirmed that the Mercedes F1 team was involved in the building of the car that Pitt’s character Sonny Hayes will drive for the fictional team APXGP.
“We helped them build the car,” Wolff told Osterreich newspaper.
“It’s a Formula 2 car but we made it look exactly like an F1 car.”
The Austrian also revealed the new car will take to the track during the British Grand Prix weekend.
“We’ll have some fun there,” he confirmed.
It has since been reported that Brad Pitt will drive the car at Silverstone to film scenes for the movie. The film is being directed by “Top Gun: Maverick” director Joseph Kosinski.
Formula 1 has since revealed first images of the car and you can take a look at it below.
