George Russell comments on Hamilton / Leclerc pairing at Ferrari

George Russell says he’s “going to be really intrigued” to see how the Lewis Hamilton and Charles Leclerc paring “pans out because they’re two amazing drivers”.

Ahead of the Australian Grand Prix, George Russell was asked to give his thoughts on the Lewis Hamilton and Charles Leclerc pairing at Ferrari.

“Charles is a fantastic driver,” the Briton said.

“No doubt about that. So I’m going to be really intrigued to see how that pans out because they’re two amazing drivers.

“He’s obviously entering an Italian team where Charles has been very much the number one for the past six years.

“It’s quite an interesting dynamic, but I think it’ll be close between the two of them,” Russell concluded.

After three years of driving alongside Lewis, George is now getting ready to start his first season with a new team-mate – Andrea Kimi Antonelli.
