Hamilton comments on Russell and Verstappen’s possible partnership

Amid rumours that Max Verstappen could be on his way to Mercedes for 2025, Lewis Hamilton was asked give his thoughts on what the dynamic between Max and George Russell would look like.

Recently rumours have been swirling around regarding Max Verstappen’s possible switch to Mercedes once Lewis Hamilton leaves the team at the end of 2024.

While these are just rumours and speculation at this point, ahead of the Saudi Arabian Grand Prix, Lewis was asked to give his thoughts of what he thinks Max and George Russell’s relationship would be like if they became team-mates.

“George is an integral part of this team and he will be here for the long haul,” Lewis said.

“He is doing a great job and he will grow to be a leader of this team, so it will be interesting to see what their relationship looks like. But I am sure they will work it out.

“It will definitely be a strong line-up,” the Briton concluded.
