Lewis Hamilton said after the Sao Paulo Grand Prix, “in the moment” he felt like he “didn’t really want to come back after that weekend”.

Ahead of the Las Vegas Grand Prix, Lewis Hamilton revealed that he had a moment of doubt following Mercedes’ poor performance at the Sao Paulo Grand Prix, when he felt like he wanted to call it quits on the 2024 season.

“I mean, in the moment that’s how I felt, like I didn’t really want to come back after that weekend,” the Briton said.

“But I think that’s only natural. It’s frustrating when you have a season like this, which I’m pretty sure I won’t have again, or at least I’ll work towards not having again.”

However, Lewis then reiterated that he is still focused on providing the best possible performance before he leaves Mercedes at the end of the year.

“It wasn’t a great feeling in that moment, but I’m here, I’m standing strong and I’m going to give it absolutely everything for these last few races,” Hamilton concluded.

Hopefully, the last three races will allow Lewis and the team to finish their last season together on a high.
