Italian F1 journalist Leo Turrini says the way Max Verstappen is talking to the Red Bull team makes him think he has already signed with Mercedes.
After the Hungarian Grand Prix, many observers have criticized Max Verstappen for his profanity-laden rants aimed at his team and race engineer.
In his newest column, respected Italian Formula 1 journalist Leo Turrini says the way Max is talking to his team makes him think he has already signed with Mercedes for 2025.
“At Red Bull, internal brawls – from the Horner case onwards, through to Adrian Newey’s departure – have triggered a mechanism that makes one think of self-destruction,” Turrini wrote.

“Yes, I’d be tempted to say Verstappen has already signed for Mercedes 2025!” the Italian concluded.
This comes after numerous statements from Mercedes team boss Toto Wolff, who is not hiding the fact that the team is very interested in the Dutch driver.
