Lewis Hamilton and Mercedes picked up a penalty for an infringement 20 minutes into Austrian Grand Prix Free Practice 1.
20 minutes into Austrian Grand Prix first free practice, Lewis Hamilton and Mercedes were hit with a penalty for speeding in the pit lane.
The speed limit in the Spielberg pit lane is 80kph (49.70mph), while Lewis was clocked at 80.2kph (49.83mph).

The rules state that drivers exceeding the limit will be fined €100 for each kph they go above it, up to €1000. For Lewis’ transgression Mercedes was fined €100.
Earlier this year, Lewis picked up a similar penalty for exceeding the speed limit in Monaco. There the team had to pay €600.
