Lewis Hamilton says he is “having meetings with all the department heads to try and motivate and encourage them all” during the development of Mercedes’ 2024 car.

After two difficult years, Mercedes is now trying to get back into the fight in 2024.

The team’s leadership already said in numerous interviews that the W15 is going to be a departure from the ‘concept’ they used in 2022 and 2023, and now Lewis Hamilton says he is very much involved in its development.

In fact, Lewis says he is spending a lot of time in Mercedes’ Brackley factory, while the car is being developed.

“I’m in the factory much more often now, having meetings with all the department heads to try and motivate and encourage them all,” the Briton told Motorsport Total.

“I talk to them, show them where we need to improve and what direction we need to go in. I just try to help them be positive and to say we can do it.

“I also looked closely at other vehicles and asked a lot of questions just to stimulate ideas,” Hamilton concluded.
