Lewis Hamilton responds to Fernando Alonso’s statement that people should value Lewis’ successes more than they do.
No matter how many records Lewis Hamilton breaks, there are always those who try to diminish his successes by saying this is all due to him driving ‘the best car’.
Recently Fernando Alonso said Lewis’ level of performance is not valued enough, and people need to congratulate him for his successes.
In an interview with Spanish newspaper AS, the Briton was asked if he agrees with Alonso’s statement.
“I don’t know, I don’t live to see all the things that are said and I’m not very aware of all that,” said Hamilton.

“Although I do know about those kinds of comments. There is always an excuse when someone else is the winner.
“People will always find a way to minimize success, so I don’t spend time dwelling on it.
“I know how hard I had to work to be this strong, to not make mistakes, to maximize every opportunity that I have, and nobody can take it away from me.
“With more wheel-to-wheel battles, I hope I will have more opportunities for me to demonstrate it, for people to see what I’m capable of.
“I will keep fighting and competing, I hope everyone will see more from me,” concluded the seven-time champion.
