Lewis Hamilton: “There has never been a driver like me either…”

During an interview, Lewis Hamilton was told that no driver has ever won a race after his 300th start. He responded with: “But there has never been a driver like me either.”

At the 2022 French Grand Prix, Lewis Hamilton celebrated his 300th race start. Unfortunately, he was not able to win any races since then, as Mercedes struggled with its troubled car.

During an interview in the Dutch Formula One magazine, Lewis was told that there has never been a driver who won a race after starting 300 grands prix.

“But there has never been a driver like me either,” Lewis responded.

The Briton then talked about the difficult 2022 campaign – his first season without a race win.

“We wanted to hit back after 2021, but at one point I thought: ‘God, with this car I really can’t fight for the title.’

“If I can say anything about last year, it’s that as a team we’ve only become more resilient and determined,” Hamilton concluded.
