BBC’s Andrew Benson reports there are “zero” chances that Lewis Hamilton will make his Ferrari debut at the 2024 post-season test in Abu Dhabi.

Lewis Hamilton will join Ferrari in 2025, after 12 years with Mercedes. However, very often the drivers get their first outings with their new teams after the final race of the season, when teams are performing post-season tests.

However, when asked what the chances are that Hamilton will make his Ferrari debut at the end of 2024, BBC’s Andrew Benson said it will definitely not happen.

“Zero,” Benson wrote.

“Hamilton is under contract to Mercedes until the end of the year, and they say he cannot test for Ferrari at the end of the season, as they have a lot of promotional and farewell work to do after 12 years together.

“And 18 with Mercedes engines,” he concluded.

This means it is most likely that Hamilton will get a chance to drive a Ferrari F1 car for the first time at the team’s Fiorano track in 2025, but it will have to be one of their older models.
