Ahead of the Belgian Grand Prix, Mercedes’ latest upgrade has broken cover. Photos from the track reveals significantly reshaped sidepods.
Mercedes team boss Toto Wolff promised a big upgrade for the W14 will be introduced at Spa, and now photos emerged of the car’s significantly reshaped sidepods.
The images show a more rounded air inlet and more aggressive downwash. Additionally, a concave surface has been added to the lower part of the sidepod, which should increase outwash near the rear floor edge.
Aside from this change, Mercedes also introduced a new low-downforce rear wing, but this update is circuit specific.
