After Lando Norris’s dominant win at the Mexican Grand Prix, the Briton now leads the 2025 championship. Oscar Piastri says he needs to “find some more pace and win some more races”.
After being at the top of the 2025 championship standings for most of the year, Oscar Piastri has now lost the lead to his McLaren team-mate Lando Norris.
Asked how he can regain the lead again, Piastri had a very simple answer.
“Find some more pace and win some more races,” the Australian said.

“It’s difficult to know what to expect [in the upcoming races], I think clearly the pace in the car has been strong this weekend. I’ve not really been able to unlock it that much.
“I think we’ll clearly learn if we changed some things today and made progress with that. And yeah, I think if I have, then that will leave me relatively happy.
“If there’s still some things to learn then back to the drawing board a bit,” Piastri concluded.
