Red Bull’s Christian Horner and Dr Helmut Marko both think the 2022 Formula 1 title race will “probably end in a three-way fight”.
Although Mercedes couldn’t compete with Ferrari and Red Bull in the first two races of the 2022 season, Red Bull’s advisor Dr Helmut Marko says he expects the German team to join the title fight sooner or later.
“Hamilton is only nine points behind Verstappen,” the Austrian said.
“They are not writing off the world championship at all. They will come back, for sure. It will probably end in a three-way fight.”

The sentiment is shared by Red Bull team boss Christian Horner, who said he has “no doubt” that Mercedes will join the fight at the top.
“They are struggling,” the Briton said.
“I have no feelings about their competitiveness. Obviously, I am focused on our competitiveness in what is a very intense fight with Ferrari at the moment.
“I have no doubt that at some point, Mercedes will join that battle but my focus is very much on our team,” Horner concluded.
