Mercedes team boss Toto Wolff says he would “rather do it alone” than have Christian Horner, Helmut Marko or Max Verstappen in his team.
In an interview with Bild, Mercedes team boss Toto Wolff was asked several rapid fire questions. Firstly he was asked who he considers to be the top three Formula One drivers of all time?
“Michael Schumacher, Lewis Hamilton and Ayrton Senna, everyone in their own time,” Wolff said.
Of the current drivers he picked:
“Hamilton, George Russell and Max Verstappen. In this order.”

When asked who would he rather pick from Red Bull to be in his team: Verstappen as driver, team boss Christian Horner or advisor Dr. Helmut Marko, Toto was clear:
“I’d rather do it alone,” he said with a smile.
Asked about Christian Horner calling him a ‘tax evader living in Monaco’ and saying it was fun to ‘wind him up’, Toto said:
“His statements no longer trigger any emotions in me because he shoots in all directions,” the Austrian concluded.
