Lewis Hamilton and Max Verstappen were again involved in a “situation” at British Grand Prix Qualifying. Mercedes team boss Toto Wolff gives his verdict.
At one point in British Grand Prix Qualifying, while drivers were preparing for their flying laps, Lewis Hamilton and Max Verstappen once again found themselves close to each other.
Lewis was in front at the time and was weaving to warm up his tyres, while Max was eager to get ahead. This led to a close situation that almost could have led to a contact.
After the session, Mercedes team boss Toto Wolff was asked to give his comments.

“This was normal modus operandi,” the Austrian said.
“You try to have good prep and track position, the clock is ticking down, you want to make sure you get your lap in.
“That was nothing out of the ordinary.”
