Mercedes team boss Toto Wolff discusses Adrian Newey’s future, but says the team needs to “focus on our current structure and push it as hard as we can”.
Ever since it was announced that Adrian Newey is leaving Red Bull, and will be able to join a different team in early 2025, one of the main points of speculation in the F1 world has been his future.
It is already known that the main teams pursuing the legendary designer are Ferrari and Aston Martin, but Mercedes, McLaren and Williams have also expressed interest.
In an interview with Mundo Deportivo, Mercedes team boss Toto Wolff was asked to give his opinion on where he believes Newey will end up working next year.
“I don’t know where Adrian is going to work next year,” the Austrian said.

“I’m not sure he even knows yet.”
Asked whether signing Newey is a goal for Mercedes, Toto said:
“I think we need to focus on our current structure and push it as hard as we can. We see that we are obtaining the first benefits with our car, that it is starting to work correctly.
“And that is the most important thing: the current structure,” he concluded.
