Mercedes team boss Toto Wolff explains the photos taken of himself and Max Verstappen having fun off the coast of Sardinia.
During the F1 summer break, photos came out in the media of Mercedes team boss Toto Wolff and Max Verstappen enjoying their vacation, off the coast of Sardinia.
This sparked rumours that Verstappen might possibly be on his way to Mercedes in the future. Wolff now says people are reading too much into it.
“That was completely unintentional,” the Austrian said.

“In the age of social media, you can’t really hide anymore, and we didn’t want to. We were splashing around in the water and chatting.
“But it always feels like someone’s swimming next to you with their phone, taking a picture and posting it online.
“I always find it funny what people worry about,” Wolff concluded.
