Mercedes team boss Toto Wolff says the team is meeting “certain expectations” with their 2026 power unit, but remains cautious with his predictions.

In 2026, Formula 1 will introduce new technical regulations, but also brand new power units, the first such change since 2014.

The last time a new power unit was introduced, Mercedes embarked on a period of unprecedented dominance, and many expect the team to do this again in 2026.

However, team boss Toto Wolff remains cautious.
