Valtteri Bottas finished Finland’s Arctic Lapland Rally in ninth place. The rally was won by Toyota World Rally Championship driver Kalle Rovanpera.

The Finn was behind the wheel of a Citroen DS3 World Rally Car and posted the second-fastest time in Friday’s second stage. However, on the final stage of the opening day he went off on the second pass at the Mantyvaara test and dropped down to 22nd.

The damage done to Bottas’ car was repaired overnight and the Finn managed to secure a top ten finish on all of Sunday’s five stages. In the end Bottas finished ninth overall, with a 10 minute deficit to winner Kalle Rovanpera.
