In a video released by Mercedes Lewis Hamilton introduces his new 2020 purple and black helmet and explains meaning behind it.
Originally Hamilton had two versions of his 2020 helmet, the purple and white and the pink and white version. However following Mercedes’ involvement in the fight against racial injustice, Hamilton decided to use a new version of the helmet to show support for the Black Lives Matter movement and the fight for equality.
