During a fan event in Spain, George Russell and Lewis Hamilton joked around a bit, which led to a kind of an awkward moment between them.
During a fan event in Spain, when Lewis Hamilton and George Russell were asked to name their favourite Spanish foods, George joked he has to love Spanish cuisine because his girlfriend Carmen Montero Mundt is Spanish.
Lewis then said: “I don’t have a Spanish girlfriend so I don’t really know a lot of Spanish foods.”
Russell then joked around and said something which led to a bit of an awkward moment.
“You don’t have a Spanish girlfriend, you have Spanish girlfriends,” he said.

While the crowd cheered, Lewis seemed to find the situation a bit awkward.
“Oh… erm okay,” he said with a smile.
“I don’t know a lot of [Spanish foods]… couscous?” he continued, before surprising the crowd by admitting he doesn’t know what paella is.
