Mercedes team boss Toto Wolff reveals he is the co-producer of Brad Pitt’s new F1 movie, and Lewis Hamilton had a hand in getting him involved with the production.

Recently Toto Wolff revealed that Mercedes helped create the cars for Brad Pitt’s new Formula 1 movie.

Several racing scenes for the movie were filmed during the British Grand Prix weekend, and it was noticeable that the cars and drivers’ suits had Mercedes and AMG branding on them.

The movie is being co-produced by Lewis Hamilton’s production company ‘Dawn Apollo Films’, and now Mercedes team boss Toto Wolff reveals he is also a co-producer.

“Yes, I’m also a co-producer,” the Austrian told Sky Germany.

“It was a very interesting story. You may ask, what’s the advantage of being a co-producer? Well, eventually you get your name on the third or fourth page of the end credits. Yay.

“But seriously, I believe Netflix works very well for Formula 1, and now we’re taking it to the next level.

“Whenever the movie is released, it will be a real blockbuster because the cast couldn’t be better, the A-list.

“Penny, Lewis’s manager, made me one (a co-producer), and of course, we helped the team with the car.

“I’ll try to stay in the seat [during the credits] for a long time to find my name there,” Wolff concluded.
