While attending an event in New York with Lewis Hamilton, Toto Wolff was asked to comment on Adrian Newey’s imminent exit from Red Bull.
On Thursday, credible reports came out saying that Red Bull’s Chief Technical Officer Adrian Newey has informed the team that he intends to leave.
Now, Autosport reports that Red Bull is expected to come out with a statement announcing Newey’s departure, ahead of the Miami Grand Prix.
While attending an event for Mercedes’ partner WhatsApp in New York, where he was joined by Lewis Hamilton, team boss Toto Wolff was asked to comment on the situation.

“Adrian Newey is an iconic engineer in Formula One with a great track record,” the Austrian said.
“And again, also there are so many people talking about what he eventually might do and whether he leaves Red Bull or not.
“I’m just looking at it like a fan and watching that space,” he concluded.
