McLaren Team Principal Andrea Stella says his countryman Andrea Kimi Antonelli is “an asset for F1” and adds “it looks like he’s growing day by day”.
There’s no doubt that Kimi Antonelli is the next big superstar of Formula 1, and with 81 points ahead of team-mate George Russell, he is very likely to become the youngest F1 world champion in history.
Kimi’s rise is being noticed within the paddock as well, notably by his countryman, McLaren Team Principal Andrea Stella.
“I care about Andrea Kimi, first of all, because he’s an asset for F1,” Stella said.

“He’s doing so well. Deservedly, he’s leading the drivers’ championship and, honestly, every time I hear from him, I see him, his stance, to me it looks like he’s growing day by day.
“So, he knows very well what to do. I’m sure he will keep this attitude, this speed, this consistency that he has expressed so far in the championship…
“And it will be a very difficult one to chase,” the Italian concluded.
