Lewis Hamilton’s father Anthony says it’s “kind of” true that Lewis did not tell him he was planning to join Ferrari, but reveals it was his own “ultimate dream” also.
Lewis Hamilton recently revealed not even his parents knew that he had agreed a deal to join Ferrari in 2025, before it was officially announced.
When asked if this was true, Lewis’ father Anthony Hamilton said it “kind of” was.
“Kind of, yes,” Anthony told Viaplay.
“The thing is, it’s his business. I always have an inkling that I know what’s going on, but it’s his deal and it was his decision.”

Lewis recently said joining Ferrari was his “childhood dream”, so his father was asked if it was his own dream also.
“Yes, part of my dream, part of his dream. You know, it’s one of those things that when you’re a young kid, you always dream of racing for Ferrari.
“And we love all of the past teams, McLaren and Mercedes, but it’s the ultimate dream to be in a red car,” Anthony Hamilton concluded.
