After three days of 2023 Pre-Season Testing, Red Bull team boss Christian Horner is still wondering if Mercedes is “holding something back”.
From Day 1 of Pre-Season Testing, Mercedes’s 2023 car did not seem to perform on the level of Red Bull and Ferrari.
However, many observers have speculated that the German team is possibly ‘sandbagging’ and not revealing its true pace.
When asked who he believes will be Red Bull’s biggest rival this year, team boss Christian Horner also wondered if Mercedes is still hiding something.
“Very difficult to say,” the Briton said.

“I mean Ferrari look like they’re quick, Mercedes’ form [is] difficult to read at the moment.
“Are they holding something back? We’ll see this time next week.
“I think all will become clear,” Horner concluded.
We will indeed find out how things truly stand this weekend at the Bahrain Grand Prix.
