After crashing out in Mexican Grand Prix FP2, George Russell says he’s “ok”, but feels “a bit winded after that one”, and adds he hopes “we can get the car fixed”.
After crashing out in United States Grand Prix Qualifying, George Russell again suffered a big crash early in Mexican Grand Prix Free Practice 2.
After getting checked by doctors, he confirmed he was is ok, but couldn’t explain why he lost control of the car.
“I’m ok, I feel a bit winded after that one,” the Briton said.
“Honestly, I don’t really know what happened. The car just started bouncing along the ground, and before I even had a chance to catch it, it was already spinning.

“I tried to take the same line in cutting that corner, and for whatever reason, on this occasion in FP2, the thing just started going on me.
“A lot of work for the guys again. It seems like it’s just one thing after another at the moment. It’s frustrating because in FP1 we were really strong, really fast.”
George added FP3 will be crucial for him to make up for the track time he lost.
“I obviously missed out on laps, so FP3 is going to be important.
“I just hope we can get the car fixed,” Russell concluded.
