After the Miami Grand Prix Sprint Race, Lewis Hamilton says it’s “pretty cool” that Kevin Magnussen was “honest” about his on-track tactics.
Lewis Hamilton was engaged in a fierce battle with Kevin Magnussen at the Miami Grand Prix Sprint Race.
Afterwards Magnussen said he had to play the team game and called his own aggressive tactics “stupid”.
When Lewis heard that, he praised Kevin for his honesty.
“I think that’s pretty honest for him – and I think that’s pretty cool,” he said.
“We had a good race. It was a little bit on the edge in some places but that’s what I love. I love racing hard and, for me, I wasn’t really frustrated or anything.

“That’s what you do to work as a team so bravo,” Hamilton concluded.
As for George Russell, he said he feels more optimistic about Mercedes’ performance for the rest of the weekend.
“Definitely more confident for qualifying compared to what we had yesterday,” George said.
“Pace was looking strong at points. It was fast in practice. It was better in SQ1, [but] SQ2 we didn’t get it quite right.
“But we have another chance later,” the Briton concluded.
