The FIA has revealed that Lewis Hamilton’s car has been singled out for a detailed inspection immediately after the Saudi Arabian Grand Prix.
After the grands prix, every car goes through post-race scrutineering, while from 2021 any car that finishes in the top 10 can be randomly selected to undergo more stringent checks.
At the Saudi Arabian Grand Prix that car was Lewis’ number 44 Mercedes.
“After the race, car number 44 [Hamilton] was randomly chosen among the top 10 cars for more extensive physical inspections,” the FIA’s document read.
