Mercedes team boss Toto Wolff’s wife Susie reveals she “wouldn’t work for Toto”, but “also wouldn’t want to work for a competitor”.

Susie Wolff is well known to Formula 1 audiences for her work with Williams as a test and development driver from 2012 until 2015, but she is also the team principal of the Venturi Formula E Team.

Although she has worked for Mercedes as a brand ambassador, she reveals that, as a wife of Mercedes team principal Toto Wolff, she would not accept a role within the team. However, she also wouldn’t work for the competition.

“I think being Toto’s wife obviously means that I’m very aligned to the Mercedes team,” Susie explained on Formula 1’s Beyond the Grid podcast.

“I wouldn’t work for Toto, but I also wouldn’t want to work for a competitor.

“My heart is with the Mercedes Formula 1 team, and I think there’d obviously be reservations within individuals in the paddock if I rocked up in some kind of other function.

“So I don’t see my future being in F1,” Wolff concluded.
