Mercedes has confirmed that the upgrades they planned on introducing at Imola, will be introduced at the Monaco Grand Prix.
Mercedes planned on introducing a significant upgrade package for their 2023 car this weekend at Imola, hoping that it will help the team get back on the right development path.
However, yesterday it was announced that the Emilia Romagna Grand Prix has been cancelled due to heavy rain that caused flooding in the region.
Of course this means Mercedes will have to wait at least another week to test their upgrades on the track.

Considering how the next race is in Monaco, a street circuit with the most unique characteristics in the F1 calendar, it is understood that some teams, like Ferrari, decided to delay the introduction of their upgrades for an additional week, until the next race in Spain.
When contacted regarding this situation, Mercedes confirmed to several news outlets that they intend to stick to their original plan, and will be introducing their upgrades in Monaco.
While Monaco is not the perfect track to get the most representative data for the rest of the season, it is good to see that Mercedes is eager to test their upgrades as soon as possible.
