In their recent social media posts, including a sort of pre-season timeline, Mercedes basically confirmed Lewis Hamilton‘s status as the team’s 2022 driver.
After Lewis Hamilton announced his return to social media on Saturday, Mercedes has posted several posts on their social media channels welcoming the Briton.
One such post was an image of Lewis looking at a number of ‘welcome back’ messages that he received since announcing his return.

Mercedes also posted a meme listing the social media steps the team plans to take ahead of their 2022 car launch on February 18.
One of the steps is a “first photo of Lewis and George [Russell] as team-mates”, which proves even to those who still had doubts, that the team definitely plans to have Lewis on the grid when the 2022 season starts in March.
