No. 1 ranked tennis player in the world Novak Djokovic says the players are lucky that Lewis Hamilton “chose motorsport over tennis”.
Djokovic, who has been ranked no. 1 by the Association of Tennis Professionals (ATP) for a record total of 315 weeks, gave Lewis Hamilton the ultimate compliment.
When Lewis posted a photo of himself as a baby wearing a tennis racket shirt on Instagran, Novak was quick to comment.
“Baby Lewis: I love the t-shirt you wore in your baby photo,” wrote the Serbian player.
“In any case, luckily you chose motorsport over tennis, otherwise we’d all be in trouble.”
Hamilton and Djokovic were both executive producers the 2018 documentary “The Game Changers”, which promotes the benefits of a plant-based diet for athletic performance. While talking about going vegan, Lewis indicated to Esquire that Djokovic was one of the people who inspired him to change his eating habits.
“Just look at Djokovic, that little bit extra that’s there, that people are reluctant to look in to,” said the Briton.
