Toto Wolff says he doesn’t think Max Verstappen races Mercedes differently, but he does think the Dutch driver races Lewis Hamilton differently.
On lap 1 of the Azerbaijan Grand Prix Sprint Race, George Russell and Max Verstappen were involved in a battle for P3, which led to a collision that damaged Max’s sidepod.
After the race, Max confronted George in parc ferme, but the Briton wasn’t interested in a discussion. This caused Verstappen to call him a “d**khead” and later “Princess George”.
He also said he thinks “apparently it’s hard to not hit a Red Bull car, I guess, for them”, obviously hinting at the fierce clashes he had with Lewis Hamilton in 2021, and even in 2022.

When a journalist asked Toto Wolff if he thinks Verstappen battles Mercedes differently to other teams, the Austrian said he doesn’t think so, but added he does think that the Dutch driver battles Hamilton differently.
“No, I think Max races Lewis differently,” Wolff said.
“But between the same generation drivers, they are all fierce, but they know each other so well.
“They had this situation probably the first time when they were 10,” he concluded.
