Lewis Hamilton’s former physio and assistant has seemingly returned to motorsport, working with IndyCar driver Marcus Armstrong.
Last weekend Angela Cullen was spotted at the Thermal Club paddock for the IndyCar $1 Million Challenge race, and according to Associated Press reporter Jenna Fryer, she is working with her countryman, IndyCar driver Marcus Armstrong, as he embarks on his second season in the series.
Angela has worked as Lewis Hamilton’s physiotherapist and overall right-hand woman since 2016, before they both announced in early 2023 they will no longer be working together.
While the full capacity of Angela’s involvement with Armstrong is not officially known, she did acknowledge her presence at the track in her Instagram posts.
Now, Armstrong himself has opened up about their relationship.
“She’s a Kiwi as well, so we linked up over the off-season and so far so good,” he said.

“I’ve gained a bit of weight, finally. These cars are animals to drive so you’ve got to be in top form to be able to wrestle it around.
“She’s been a great help to me and we’re just trying to progress through to win some races.”
Armstrong added working with somebody like Angela is important to achieve peak performance.
“It’s the one-percenters in this sport because everyone is at such a high level.
“Being a good physical form as well is obviously a part of it, that’s not a secret, but it’s the little things.
“It’s how to get your mind on top of it all and eliminate those distractions and get those results,” Armstrong concluded.
