Amid accusations from some fans that Mercedes is ‘disrespecting’ and ‘sabotaging’ Lewis Hamilton, the Briton has opened up on his final months with the team.
Danica Patrick says Lewis “obviously wants to do everything he can to win”, but “he knows that he’s leaving” and it “might be making things different inside the team”.
Today the Daily Mail reported they received an anonymous e-mail titled ‘A potential death warrant for Lewis’ in which Mercedes is accused of sabotaging Lewis Hamilton.
After Mercedes got accused of sabotaging Lewis, in an anonymous message, Toto Wolff says the team is “going full force” and they have “police inquiring it”.
George Russell responds to reports of online abuse aimed at him, and says: “Like Lewis said, you want to feel the support, not giving out negativity to others.”
Lewis Hamilton says he “wasn’t aware that George was experiencing” online abuse, and adds his team-mate “does nothing but his best every weekend for the team”.
Allison says “if you try and read into that stuff that isn’t there, like somehow [Lewis Hamilton’s] got a systematic disadvantage on qualifying day, that’s not true and not fair”.
Allison says “Lewis has, not by accident, been the best qualifier in the history of the sport, because I think he’s been the best driver in the sport, but he’s struggling to make it stick this year by fine margins”.
Apple Original Films and Formula 1 have released a joint statement revealing the release date and plot summary of Lewis Hamilton and Brand Pitt’s F1 movie.
